Back to School

On Sunday Thomas and I started the road trip back to Utah for school! The trip was interesting... You see my family doesn't really do road trips so this was kinda the first major road trip I has gone on in a while. After Sam gave his farewell talk we hopped in the car (blue Honda Fit) with all of my stuff and headed out for the open road.

The first day of driving was definitely the longest. Thomas and I took turns driving but I did most if the driving. Once we got to Boise we were definitely tired and ready for some sleep. We had to get up early the next morning because we had six more hours of driving and I needed to be to provo by three for a job interview! It was for campus catering. (Fill you in on that later) so we headed out at about 7:15 but before we left we watched the most beautiful sunrise I have ever seen!

I tried getting a good picture but the thing I learned this summer is sunsets and sunrises are really hard to photograph. You are standing there looking at this beautiful thing and the pictures never do it justice. But this turned out really well surprisingly!

The second day of driving seemed so short compared to the first day. Probably because I took a nap while Thomas drove for a while. :)

At around 1:15pm we made it to Provo which gave me just enough time to change, eat and take a quick nap before my interview.

The Dress

Recently it has been hard to go shopping. Why you ask? Well tall girl + short "in style" clothes = sad tall girl that's out of style. I had been hunting for a lace dress long enough and I decided it was time to take my own action. So for the past month or so I have been sewing a lace dress with the help of my wonderful aunt Nancy! It's finally done and I wore it for the first time last Sunday.

I. Love. It. It's long enough, it's lace oh the list could go on! I'm so happy with the way it turned out. It was also fun spending time with nancy and learning all of her sewing knowledge. I can't wait to start my next project.

Beach Party!

This weekend I went to Lincoln City with the family. (Mom,Dad, Nick) It was so much fun! Well it did get off on a little bumpy start. The days leading up to the trip Dad and Nick were working on the helicopter that my dad bought a while ago. They were trying to hook a camera up to it so we could get some really cool footage. However about 22 miles into the trip dad realized that he had forgot the box that had the batteries and camera parts for the helicopter so we had to turn around. On the bright side mom, Nick and I went shopping at Woodburn Outlet Mall while Dad went back for the stuff.

About 5 miles away from Lincoln City we stopped on Otis, OR to eat at the Otis Cafe. Man was it delicious!

The next day for dinner we ate at this pizza place. They had gluten free pizza it was super good.

We tried spending the day at the beach but it was super windy. We came back later at sunset and flew the helicopter and watched a beautiful sunset.

Overall it was a really great trip! Can't wait to go back sometime!

I'm basically a pro now! I've also been working on something else but I will reveal the final product once it is finished :)

Currently it is 1:14am. Why am I up so late you ask? Well the answer is I just got off work. And you want to know what else? I have to work this late again tomorrow nigh!! Lucky me :/ I guess I can't complain cause I'm making bank. Well I off to bed. Night!
